ALLIE TRIONFETTI (she/her)

Yoga Teacher

Allie's Yoga practice began in 2007, when Allie experienced Yoga’s tremendous healing capacity while in treatment for an eating disorder. She deeply believes in Yoga as a way to begin to quiet the mind and forge kinder, more present relationships with oneself and others.

She is concerned with the intersection between Yoga and social justice, and her teaching centers student agency, cultivating inner listening, disrupting habits, and inviting pause. She has taught Yoga as a volunteer at RIOT RI, Center for Hispanic Policy & Advocacy (Providence), The Dimock Center (Boston), in 12 Step recovery communities, and with the abolitionist coalition Grasping at the Root (Providence).

Beyond the mat, Allie is a multi-disciplinary artist fascinated by resonance: whether in sound & speech, color & light, or the body electric. Her interest in sound as a healing medium infuses her Yoga teaching, which at times includes mantra japa (chanting). Allie is a graduate of Breathing Time Yoga's Viniyoga Teacher Training (RYT 200) and Theresa Murphy's 30-Hour Yin Yoga Teaching Training. She has also participated in a 55-Hour mindfulness training with Rev. angel Kyodo Williams and David Perrin and a Yoga & Anti-oppression workshop with jamilah malika.
