Jessica Pearson

In 2005, it was my New Year’s Resolution to go to Hot Yoga. It wasn’t until July of that year that I finally went to my first Hot Yoga class in Denver. At that time I could only afford to attend class once week and Sunday morning was my day. Nine months later, I was in Hot Yoga Teacher Training and then teaching at CorePower Yoga in Denver.

My life as a professional modern dancer and educator has led me to several locations. My love for yoga has helped me find community with my travels. I have taught yoga in Colorado, Utah, Bermuda and Rhode Island, in yoga studios and gyms.

My position at Rhode Island College as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Music, Theatre and Dance led me to Providence in 2014. I look forward to teaching at Providence Power Yoga.

  • Yoga Sculpt

  • $8 @ 8:00 - Yoga Sculpt
  • $8 at 8:00 am. All Levels Vinyasa taught by our PPY Teachers. Some classes might be taught by newer teachers because we all have to start somewhere! Class is heated to 90 degrees.

    Vinyasa style classes emphasize movement with conscious, regulated breath. Poses “flow” from one to the next in a series of connected sequences. It is a powerful class that cultivates strength, endurance, concentration, balance, and flexibility.

    Vinyasa classes are challenging, invigorating and heated! The Yoga studio is heated between 88-93 degrees depending on season, weather and teacher discretion. Teachers provide supportive instruction of Yoga asana with focused attention on Ujjayi pranayama (breathing practice).

    Expect each class to include the full spectrum of Yoga postures; Sun Salutations A&B, standing postures, balance postures, belly down backbends, inversions, seated floor postures, supine poses and relaxation.

    Vinyasa classes at PPY are specifically designed to be accessible for all levels.


  • Yoga Sculpt (PPY)
  • Yoga Sculpt classes are a total body workout, set to energizing music and designed to tone and sculpt every major muscle group. This class complements your regular yoga practice while boosting your metabolism and bringing your strength and flexibility to new heights. Free weights are added into the yoga sequence, creating resistance and intensifying each pose. Strength-training exercises such as squats, lunges, bicep and tricep curls are incorporated to build lean muscle mass. You will see visible results in your body.

    PLEASE COME TO CLASS PREPARED TO SWEAT. WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU BRING A BOTTLE OF WATER TO KEEP YOU HYDRATED DURING AND AFTER CLASS. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU COME TO CLASS HYDRATED AS WELL.
