Emma Lipkin

Emma has been passionately teaching yoga since 2010. Emma's yoga practice provides a center from which the other parts of her life radiate. Through yoga she has found balance and structure, freedom and joy. By cultivating a culture of kindness and love, she strives to create a space for her students where discovery and transformation are accessible. She believes yoga can be both challenging and restorative, focused and FUN! She hopes that her service to her students is equal to the gifts she has been given by all the amazing people in her life.

Courtnay Meletta

TEACHER
Courtnay received her 200hr yoga teacher training at Kripalu in 2003. Since then she has been enjoying the healing wonders of the practice as a student and teacher, studying with inspired teachers all around the globe. A licensed mind-body psychotherapist and PhD candidate in mind-body medicine, Courtnay has a depth of knowledge on the emotional and psychological experiences of yoga as a healing system. She believes that we can utilize the incredible gift of yoga as a means towards limitless growth. Her goal is to provide an intelligent, challenging, and contemplative class (with humor!) where you will have the opportunity to drop in to the many layers of your experience, body, mind, and spirit.

Julie Shore

Julie Diana Shore teaches yoga to share what the practice brought into her own life. A California native, she has called Providence home since 2009, moving here after completing her BA at Bard College. She received her teaching certification from Eyes of the World Yoga Center and continues to deepen her studies as she builds her teaching practice. Her classes translate a technical knowledge of vinyasa asana practice, with underpinnings of yogic philosophy which point to developing mindfulness and compassionate awareness. She teaches from her direct experience of yoga as an inclusive, energizing and empowering practice.

Liz Guardia

Liz is a 200 & 500 hr certified teacher. She was introduced to yoga at the ripe age of 16. Liz believes that there are many gifts to be discovered through the practice of yoga beyond physical transformation. Her passion is to help people on the yogic path through self-inquiry, physical practice and meditation.

She has studied with Raffa Yoga and Fluid Yoga. She is forever grateful to her teachers Kevan Gale and Betty Riaz who have helped her transform from a vinyasa practitioner to life-long student of dharma.

Liz is a lover travel, adventure, food and fun! She loves to share this energy in her classes, the flows are intelligent, dynamic and robust. You can expect an eclectic sequence, playlist and theme in your classes with Liz.

Noelle Curren

Noelle is a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certified teacher. She came to her practice at 17, teaching herself postures and sequences from a yoga book, quickly developing a very strong, committed home practice. She fell in love with the intensity of holding the physical postures, the creativity of creating her own sequences and the freedom to explore; which eventually led her to teaching. Noelle attended the University of Rhode Island where she studied Kinesiology with a focus in exercise science. In 2013 she completed her Level 1 YogaFit certification and taught yoga at the Anna Fascitelli Fitness and Wellness Center at the University of Rhode Island. She completed her teacher training at Raffa Yoga in December 2015. Noelle brings her playful spirit, humor, and love for yoga to her classes; as well as her strong background in anatomy and understanding of the body in motion. Noelle teaches from an authentic place with the intention of presenting yoga in a way that is accessible for everyone. Classes are mindfully taught to draw attention to alignment and towards cultivating strength. Noelle teaches creative sequences to the backdrop of carefully crafted playlists that compliment the progression of the class and enhance the overall experience.

Caroline Pope Peavy

TEACHER
E-RYT-200, RYT-500
“Yoga is the practice of tolerating the consequences of being yourself.”

Just like she was meant to birth her two children, Caroline was born to practice and teach yoga. Her journey on the mat began in 2000 with Bikram Yoga when looking to get into shape for her wedding in 2001. Caroline’s sister suggested a Vinyasa class and she was hooked. She no longer felt as stressed when living her life of wife, mother, and professional. Caroline’s emotions began to balance themselves out with every practice. She now believes that self study on and off the mat is the root to clarity of body, mind, and spirit. Caroline was certified to teach Vinyasa in 2010 by Eyes Of The World Studio with Tom Gillette and Shannah Green. She recently completed an advanced 500 hour training with Theresa Murphy in traditional Hatha Yoga. This training was a cross-pollination of styles, penetrating study of asana, anatomy, meditation, therapeutics, hands on assisting, sequencing, wisdom teachings, subtle anatomy and so much more. One of Caroline’s students described her classes and her teaching the following way, "You possess a fluidity with your emotions and the classes/sequences that you teach. You have a fire about you that creates this compelling energy of motivation and inspiration. You inspire others to enter into areas of their practice that might be difficult.” Her classes include many different styles of yoga and wisdom teachings. Caroline weaves every class differently so that the student has a better sense of their body and feels the transformative experience that is yoga.

Vinyasa is a popular style of yoga that seamlessly links breath with movement. It is often referred to as ‘flow yoga’ or ‘meditation in motion’ because of the smooth way in which the poses transition from one to another, almost like a dance. Heated Power Vinyasa takes the traditional vinyasa series and incorporates a dynamic flow that detoxifies, heals and rejuvenates the body. It is a powerful, and transformational class that cultivates strength, endurance, focus, balance, and flexibility.

Instruction is based on alignment and breath. The teacher will offer challenges and refinements to more advanced students while providing structure and support for beginners. In a vinyasa class, your breath is synchronized with your movement and you will be cued to move from one pose to another on either an inhale or an exhale. Students have the opportunity to cultivate gratitude and independence in their yoga practice, while learning to integrate these tools into daily life.

Suited to students of all levels, classes are heated to 95 degrees with approximately 50% humidity to help facilitate the integration of sweat, strength and spirit.
