Just like she was meant to birth her two children, Caroline was born to practice and teach yoga. Her journey on the mat began in 2000 with Bikram Yoga when looking to get into shape for her wedding in 2001. Caroline’s sister suggested a Vinyasa class and she was hooked. She no longer felt as stressed when living her life of wife, mother, and professional. Caroline’s emotions began to balance themselves out with every practice. She now believes that self study on and off the mat is the root to clarity of body, mind, and spirit. Caroline was certified to teach Vinyasa in 2010 by Eyes Of The World Studio with Tom Gillette and Shannah Green. She recently completed an advanced 500 hour training with Theresa Murphy in traditional Hatha Yoga. This training was a cross-pollination of styles, penetrating study of asana, anatomy, meditation, therapeutics, hands on assisting, sequencing, wisdom teachings, subtle anatomy and so much more. One of Caroline’s students described her classes and her teaching the following way, "You possess a fluidity with your emotions and the classes/sequences that you teach. You have a fire about you that creates this compelling energy of motivation and inspiration. You inspire others to enter into areas of their practice that might be difficult.” Her classes include many different styles of yoga and wisdom teachings. Caroline weaves every class differently so that the student has a better sense of their body and feels the transformative experience that is yoga.
Instruction is based on alignment and breath. The teacher will offer challenges and refinements to more advanced students while providing structure and support for beginners. In a vinyasa class, your breath is synchronized with your movement and you will be cued to move from one pose to another on either an inhale or an exhale. Students have the opportunity to cultivate gratitude and independence in their yoga practice, while learning to integrate these tools into daily life.
Suited to students of all levels, classes are heated to 95 degrees with approximately 50% humidity to help facilitate the integration of sweat, strength and spirit.
